Assessability was established in 1988 to offer a responsive, fast and
personal level of occupational therapy expert witness and assessment services.
It
is the office of Clare Garside Dip COT (1976) Reg HCPC, who has over 30
years experience as an occupational therapy expert witness. Expert
assessment and reports are provided in the following areas:
- Personal
Injury and Clinical Negligence
Instructions are taken as a claimant, defence or single joint expert
to provide opinion in the form of well-evidenced reports and testimony
of previous lifestyle, the impact of an index incident on functional
ability and fully quantified and costed recommendations to inform the
Court.
- Disability
Adaptation
Proposals for adapted housing to support independent living, the needs
of disabled children and people with special needs and / or challenging
behaviour.
- Care of Dependants
Assessment of the care needs of children and vulnerable adults, the
associated resource requirements, and the capacity of people who are
or may move to a caring role.
- Appraisal
Services
These include:
- Assessments and recommendations for disability
equipment such as wheelchairs and specialist beds.
- Workplace
Assessment that match the physical and attitudinal requirements
of a job to a person and often include recommendations for options
to make reasonable adjustments.
- Policy and Procedure Complaints
Reviews where independent scrutiny and evaluation is required.
